Throughout her training, Lydia has sought to bring a refreshing, reflective, quirky take on new ideas often infecting a comedic and joyful feeling to her work. As a contemporary dance artist from Wales who specialises in improvisation and gestural work, Lydia is currently training in her second year at Middlesex University working towards achieving a BA Dance degree and seeks to go on to study for a Master's in the future. Lydia is incredibly grateful for the opportunities and experiences she has had both in dance and outside of dance.
Before studying at Middlesex, Lydia trained at Rubicon Dance in Cardiff where she achieved a Triple distinction Level 3 Extended Performing Arts practice (Dance pathway) and had opportunities to work in collaboration on a dance theatre piece with American choreographer Terry Beck, experience workshops with National Dance Company Wales, Jack Philp's dance, Jamiel Laurence, Anna Watkins and Zoo Nation, alongside her technical training.
She has over seven years of customer service experience working in hospitality and has also achieved a level 3 extended Diploma in children's care learning and development. Lydia is also a Middlesex University student ambassador and 2-year Cheer and POM Cecchetti Intermediate Foundation and has trained for the Cecchetti Intermediate syllabus work. Lydia has created and performed in both live and dance for camera pieces throughout her dance training.
